Fantasy football 2018, Week 13 rankings: Who to start and sit

In a lot of fantasy football leagues this is the last week of the regular season which increases the pressure to get the right players in your lineup.

This week brings a new dynamic in your fantasy football season. It’s the week where teams are no longer on bye and it’s likely the last week before the playoffs begin. Some of you will need a win this week just to sneak into the playoffs.

Having a full schedule of games is something that creates tougher decisions. Everyone on your roster is now in play making for some interesting debates.

There’s also situations in the NFL where some teams are looking towards the future. Teams like the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals already know they won’t be making the playoffs.

This typically means that younger players see more action than usual. These teams are looking for long-term building blocks and are more open to giving unknown players an opportunity. It’s something that could have a big impact on your fantasy roster.

You could see a situation where your quarterback is taking on a defense that has taken to a youth movement. This would create a more favorable matchup than originally thought.

Then there’s a team like the Chicago Bears who have a solid lead in their division and have a relativity easy game against the New York Giants. Chicago might be more willing to keep the injured Mitch Trubisky on the bench in this type of situation.

They are in it for the long haul and won’t want to risk Trubisky suffering a set back.
