Lawyer Mark Geragos thinks Colin Kaepernick will play in the NFL again.
Colin Kaepernick’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, has just announced that he believes Kaepernick will play in the NFL again and he even has a few teams in mind. Geragos appeared on CNN on Saturday night and predicted a future in football for Kaepernick.
Geragos mentioned the Carolina Panthers or the New England Patriots would be good landing spots for Kaepernick who hasn’t played in the NFL for the past two years. If he does join the Panthers he’d be playing alongside his former San Francisco 49ers teammate, Eric Reid, who just signed a three-year deal with the team.
The team is also potentially in the market for a quarterback as their current starting quarterback, Cam Newton, is currently recovering from a shoulder injury. If he needs to miss part of next season, the Panthers may look to nab another quarterback soon.
This news comes just days after Kaepernick and the NFL reached a settlement in regards to his lawsuit alleging the league helped to deny him a contract after his controversial national anthem protests.
Terms of the settlement have, so far, remained confidential under the terms of the agreement.
