With the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine in the rear-view mirror we take a look at our latest NFL mock draft, with the 2019 NFL Draft only six weeks away.
With the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine in the books, we turn our attention to the new league year, which is slated to start next week. There is a lot of work to do for many teams heading into 2019, and the combine was a nice jumping point for what should be another exciting NFL offseason.
Here is our latest 2019 NFL mock draft.
The Arizona Cardinals will kick off the 2019 NFL Draft, and they have their choice of any prospect coming out this year. While they have needs on both sides of the ball, after being the only NFL team to win only three games last season, the rumor is that they are going to be targeting the same position they drafted in the first round last year.
That is right, the Cardinals seem to be in the market for a quarterback for the second straight draft, as they apparently have their eyes set on Oklahoma signal-caller Kyler Murray. The Heisman Trophy winner came in above his listed height on Thursday, ending his Combine, and will now wait until his Pro Day to run, and throw.
For the Cardinals, who traded up in 2018 to select UCLA’s Josh Rosen, the fact that they are going to draft a quarterback is kind of crazy. But hey, this is a franchise looking to rebrand themselves with a new head coach in Kliff Kingsbury, and as head coach of Texas Tech last season, he did say he would take Murray if he had the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
