The Chicago Bears do not have a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. They do have enough picks to fill holes they so desperately need.

The Chicago Bears were supposed to take a step forward last season. With an amazing defense in place, they were going to look to repeat as NFC North Champions. Instead, they took two steps back, had to trade away the lack of draft capital they still had to get Nick Foles to compete with Mitch Trubisky and signed Jimmy Graham for some reason. Now, since they are desperately cap-strapped, they have to rely on the draft to bring in draft capital.

There’s one issue with that. They don’t have a lot of draft picks in the first two days. They are missing their first, third and fourth-round picks because of the Khalil Mack trade and the recent Nick Foles trade. Still, they have a lot of picks overall. They have four total sixth and seventh-round picks.

They aren’t the most talented players, but there are some gems you get when doing the draft right. The Bears really have no choice but to do the draft right, because if they don’t a lot of people are going to lose their jobs.

They are dangerously close to becoming the Jacksonville Jaguars, who were forced to dump about everything and bottom-out because their core wasn’t good enough to build a winner. If the Bears are going to prove that last year was a fluke, they at least have to crush their first two picks.
