While the dates have not been released, we do know the home and away opponents for all NFL teams. Here are the five games the Jets must win in 2020.

When the final downs were played and the last seconds ticked off the scoreboard, the New York Jets season ended in far too familiar fashion. Another losing year without playoff football.

Under Adam Gase in his first year as head coach, the team went 7-9 and finished third in the AFC East division. If you’re looking for a silver lining, there may be some remnants of that in the final record.

After a miserable 1-7 start, the Jets went 6-2 down the stretch.

Sam Darnold will be entering his third year, Joe Douglas helped address the offensive line issues, there will be healthier players on defense and the draft will add another wave of potential starters and roster depth. It’s time for the Jets to win some football games in 2020.

Especially without No. 12 sitting under center up in New England anymore. Here are five games the Jets must win in 2020.

5. Home: Miami Dolphins

If you’re a fan of the Jets, here’s a really simple one. If you plan on competing, you can’t be dropping games to teams like the Dolphins. Especially at home. Therefore, Gang Green must come away with a win at MetLife Stadium when Miami comes to town.

The schedule is tough in 2020. Specifically, on the road. Stockpiling wins is very much a thing in every sport, so you have to go out and execute to get these types of games.

Yes, the Dolphins will have a far more talented roster this upcoming season. However, the Jets are built to win now and if they truly want to challenge for the division, they need to prove they can handle their business at home.

Last year, both teams split the season series 1-1 with each club winning on home turf.
