Leonard Fournette may be on the move soon, and here are the top five potential fantasy football landing spots for him.
Leonard Fournette is entering his fourth year in the NFL, with a fifth-year option decision looming for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trade speculation has surfaced at times, as the Jaguars look to reset, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported the team has had trade discussions with other teams regarding the No. 4 pick in the 2017 draft.
Fournette is coming off his best season in 2019, with 1,152 rushing yards (seventh in the league) over 15 games. He was also notably more involved as a pass catcher, with 76 receptions (on 100 targets) for 522 yards. Over his first two NFL seasons, he had a total of 58 receptions on 74 targets.
One area Fournette came up way short in was touchdowns. He found pay dirt just three times last year. It was not for lack of usage though, as he had 46 red zone carries (68.7 percent of the team’s red zone carries) and 11 red zone targets.
That 6.5 percent conversion rate on red zone carries screams for a big correction. Albeit on less volume, due to a total of 11 games missed, Fournette had red zone carry conversion rates of 24.1 (2017) and 22.7 percent (2018).

5. Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins moved to address the league’s worst rushing attack last year (72.3 yards per game), signing Jordan Howard in free agency. But they are still a popular landing spot for one of the top rookie running backs in the draft, which would be a significant ding to any perception of Howard’s fantasy upside.
Fournette would likely immediately step in as Miami’s workhorse back. A trade for him would fit nicely as an end cap to an aggressive offseason, which has them poised for a rise this year. The biggest question attached to the Dolphins regarding Fournette is this–is he better than an incoming rookie would be?
