The Kansas City Chiefs enter 2020 as the defending Super Bowl champions, but they really need to win these five games if they want to repeat.
The NFL is now the playground of the Kansas City Chiefs after their victory in Super Bowl LIV in Miami. The Chiefs snapped a 50-year title drought behind the golden arm of Patrick Mahomes and the brilliant coaching of Andy Reid, establishing themselves as the league’s newest marquee franchise.
The rest of the NFL will be gunning for the Chiefs this season, and Kansas City has a much more difficult schedule to contend with. The Chiefs are still favored to win their division, but a deep postseason run could depend on seeding.
There are five big games on the Chiefs’ schedule that they absolutely have to win, including a showdown with an old friend in a new place.
5. At Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers would not have made this list if not for the arrival of one Tom Brady this offseason. Brady has given the Chiefs a ton of trouble in the past and his presence alone should make Tampa Bay a tough out for Kansas City.
This contest is on the road, so it would be a good opportunity for Kansas City to make an early statement away from Arrowhead Stadium. Toppling Brady and the Buccaneers would be a good way for the Chiefs to re-establish their newfound supremacy over the greatest quarterback of all time.
