There have been plenty of legendary players to put on a Philadelphia Eagles uniform, and here is our official Mount Rushmore.
The Philadelphia Eagles franchise came to being way back in July 1933, and the organization made their debut that Fall. The Eagles franchise came into the NFL as a replacement for the Frankford Yellow Jackets, who went bankrupt in 1931, leaving the league with a need for a new team.
Since then, the Eagles have enjoyed much success during their nearly 90 years as an NFL franchise. After winning three NFL Championships before the merger in 1970, the Eagles finally won their first Super Bowl only three years ago, when they stunned the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII behind backup quarterback Nick Foles.
Throughout their history, the Eagles have put some legendary players on the field, including multiple Hall of Famers, and some guys you cannot write the history of the league without mentioning. From Weapon X, to the Minister of Defense, the Eagles have had some punishing defensive players, but offensive weapons like Randall Cunningham and Steve Van Buren have also made their mark.
With that said, let us look at the four players that would dot the mountainside if there were a Philadelphia Eagles Mount Rushmore for players. It was a tough task to narrow down, but here is listed in alphabetical order, our final four.
