Five free agents the Chicago Bears should still sign to make a postseason run.

There are moves the Chicago Bears can make that will get them back in the postseason in 2020.

Losing five games by one possession bit the Bears in 2019. They went from a 12-4 season winning the NFC North division in 2018 to missing the playoffs at 8-8, finishing third in the NFC North, in 2019. However, there are five free agents the Bears can sign to elevate this team to once again be Super Bowl contenders.

5. Ronald Leary

The Bears could use help on the offensive line. Look no further than guard Ronald Leary.

The former member of the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos o-line, would provide the Bears an option at guard. The Bears recently picked up former Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Germain Ifedi and have slotted him to move to right guard.

With Ifedi there is flexibility. With Leary competing for a guard spot, Ifedi could move back to a tackle position if he impresses the Bears brass and shows more upside than Bears right tackle Bobby Massie.

The upgrades in the trenches could make this Bears offense more physical and effective in the ground game. With Leary, he is also heading into a season where he feels 100 percent healthy. Last season, he still had an up year when coming off an Achilles tendon injury.

2020 may be one of Leary’s best years so the Bears should capitalize.
