Chicago Bears legend Brian Urlacher paid quite the compliment to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers
There are few rivalries in sports better than the Chicago Bears going up against the Green Bay Packers. Every year, these two teams face off at least twice and the fans go absolutely wild both before the game and in the middle of the action.
Perhaps no one knows more about the rivalry than Chicago Bears legend and Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t respect his opponents from Wisconsin, though. Such is the case when it comes to Aaron Rodgers.
Urlacher knows Rodgers will one day be joining him in the Hall of Fame, and his latest quote on the Green Bay gunslinger will surely bring a smile to everyone’s face in Green Bay.
Aaron Rodgers will look to lead the Packers back to the Super Bowl this season
“Every year it’s all on Aaron Rodgers, he doesn’t turn the football over and doesn’t make bad decisions,” Urlacher said while on The Pat McAfee Show.
Urlacher didn’t mince words here and he makes a great point. Rodgers is the heart and soul of the offense. His incredible rocket for an arm continues to amaze NFL fans every Sunday. Come 2020, he’ll hope to get the Packers back to the Super Bowl and wipe away the bad memories of losing to the 49ers last year in the NFC Championship Game.
Much was made of Green Bay not drafting any wide receivers this year and taking Jordan Love in the first round. Still, Rodgers has been classy throughout the offseason and is poised to have another strong year.
Rodgers is getting ready to begin his 16th year in the league, all with the Packers. He threw for 4,002 yards and 26 touchdowns last regular season. If you ask Urlacher, Rodgers will be ready to post some insane stats once again in the coming months.
