Ben Roethlisberger has finally cleaned up his epic quarantine beard (Photo)

Ben Roethlisberger looks like a normal person again.

Ben Roethlisberger played in two games during the 2019 season and made it clear he was growing his beard out until he could throw a ball to a Pittsburgh Steelers receiver. His recovery was not a quick one and the beard continued to grow.

Then came March when the country went into quarantine and there was no chance of Roethlisberger getting time with any teammates. So the beard grew even more. The final result was him looking like a woodsman, but it appears he is clean-cut once again.

He had to shave for picture day!

Roethlisberger shaving his beard is a big milestone as it means he is back and ready to go for the Steelers in 2020. The 38-year-old suffered an elbow injury last season and it may have been a sign to some that his career was over.

His $44.5 million cap hit in 2020 said otherwise and Big Ben worked hard to show up and earn the $26 million in cash he is owed this season. This is great news for Steelers fans after the duo of Mason Rudolph and Devlin “Duck” Hodges underwhelmed in 2019. The team has still not committed to a true succession plan, so all the faith was in the bearded veteran.

The Steelers are entering a season that could be the last for both James Conner and Juju Smith-Schuster in town. Roethlisberger could also be let go if the team is willing to take on over $22 million in dead money in 2021.

Change is coming in Pittsburgh soon, but a clean-shaven Roethlisberger means he is not done yet.
