Saquon Barkley defies gravity and hurdles a full human (Video)

Saquon Barkley showed why he’s one of the most dangerous running backs in the NFL.

When it comes to the New York Giants, the team as a whole hasn’t exactly moved the needle in terms of excitement. But one player who definitely brings the hype to the NFL is running back Saquon Barkey, who did exactly that on Monday night.

During the Giants’ home opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Barkley has been stuffed when trying to rush the ball against the second-coming of the Steel Curtain. But in the second quarter, Jones threw a screen pass to Barkley, who proceeded to produce one of the more electric catch and runs of the season so far.

In fact, Barkley hurdled a full human being in cornerback Mike Hilton.

Once the Giants hired Joe Judge to be their new head coach, he opted to bring on former Dallas Cowboys sideline boss Jason Garrett as the team’s offensive coordinator. As everyone knows, Garrett perfectly utilized fellow running back Ezekiel Elliott in the passing game. This play on Monday showed what he can do with Barkley in New York.

Barkley’s sophomore campaign was hindered due to a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Even though he missed just three games, he lacked the explosiveness that made him so dangerous. Despite that, Barkley still rushed for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns on 217 carries, while recording 52 receptions 438 yards and two scores.

Consider Monday a sneak peek at the kind of damage Barkley can do to defenses in the passing game this season.
