Aaron Rodgers is getting meme’d for flexing after Packers touchdown

Aaron Rodgers awkwardly flexed after a touchdown and it spawned hilarity

First, it was the discount double-check. Now it’s the awkward flex. Aaron Rodgers’ celebrations are undefeated.

After tossing his second touchdown of the night for the Packers against the Falcons, Rodgers jogged over to the streaming video board behind his teammates. But when he threw up his arms for a flex it was more funny than intimidating.

So, of course, the internet had a field day.

Some mocked the awkwardness of it all.

Others went all-in on the meme.

Twitter seemed to agree it was a highlight of Monday Night Football, whether using it to mock Rodgers or to embrace the moment.

Aaron Rodgers might not have mastered the flex, but he’s still really good

Make fun of him all you want, but if Rodgers keeps playing like he is in 2020, he can celebrate with flexes, discount double-checks, Ickey shuffles or whatever he desires. He’s been that good.

On Monday Night Football, he lit up the Falcons defense for three touchdowns and 228 yards in the first half alone. That gives him 12 passing touchdowns in three-and-a-half games.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of Rodgers’ production, and the Packers undefeated record so far, is how he’s doing without a clear No. 1 receiver. Davante Adams, who was Rodgers’ favorite target in Week 1, missed his second game in a row because of a hamstring injury.

When you factor in all the other injuries in the Green Bay receiving corps, Rodgers hasn’t slowed down despite targeting players who would otherwise be on the practice squad.

As a result, the Packers are 3-0 and looking to improve to 4-0. A 20-3 advantage at the half certainly suggests they are well on their way to another victory.
