Former LSU teammates Patrick Queen and Joe Burrow are facing off on Sunday, but Queen got the best of Burrow with a strip-sack in the first half.
With the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens meeting on Sunday, it’s surely a special game for LSU fans to check out. Why? Because former Tigers stars Patrick Queen and Joe Burrow are both in action. While Queen stars for Baltimore, Burrow of course is the signal-caller of the future for Cincinnati.
They’ve surely got a friendly rivalry going on in Week 5, but Queen and the Ravens are dominating play in the first half. To make things even better for the Ravens, Queen got a body on his old teammate and strip-sacked him. You know it was a special moment for the defender.
Patrick Queen has bragging rights over former LSU teammate Joe Burrow
On the play, Queen was able to catch Burrow from behind, hit him hard, force the fumble and then have the awareness to jump on the ball. All in all, it was an incredible play for Queen. As for Burrow, he’s had a nightmare day for the Bengals, watching Baltimore show just how much better they are.
On the CBS broadcast, it was reported Queen and Burrow would always push each other when they were teammates playing for Ed Orgeron at LSU.
It would at times lead to the two getting a bit ‘extra’ competitive when facing off. Well, Queen will be quick to remind Burrow the next time they talk what happens when he takes his eyes off of him. Yup, Queen will make him pay.
