Stephon Gilmore house goes up for sale spurring on trade rumors

Stephon Gilmore’s house is apparently up for sale as the NFL trade deadline approaches. Could the All-Pro be on his way out of New England?

Could the New England Patriots really be shopping Stephon Gilmore?

If you’re interested in reading tea leaves, his latest real estate update may point to some truth to that rumor.

Reports on Wednesday suggested the AP Defensive Player of the Year and his wife put their Foxboro house on the market this week.

NBC Sports found the real estate documents confirming the house is on sale.

Stephon Gilmore’s house sale is kicking up trade rumors

The details of the listing are too juicy to ignore. As NBC pointed out, the sellers have set a due date for offers on the same day as the NFL trade deadline: Tuesday, Nov. 3.

What are the chances Realtor.com might have scooped what would be the biggest trade of the year?

Gilmore’s wife, who is the listed owner of the house, tweeted three laughing emojis around the time the initial report broke from WEEI’s Greg Hill Show.

The simplest explanation for Gilmore’s house going on sale is that he and his wife are simply moving. Maybe they’re going somewhere nearby.

Whether Gilmore is on the trade block or not, it doesn’t seem likely a real estate deal is the sign that it’s going down. How awkward would it be for Gilmore and his family if they went through all the trouble of putting their house on the market and then a trade fell through?

Gilmore is a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro who has been with the Patriots since 2017. He started his career with the Buffalo Bills, spending five years there before signing for New England.

If the 2-7 Patriots wanted to cash in on one of their most valuable assets, it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise. It’ll just take more evidence than is currently out there.
