Steve Levy still thinks Tom Brady is on the Patriots (Video)

Steve Levy still thinks Tom Brady is on the Patriots.

Tom Brady became a sensation during his 20-year stay with the New England Patriots. After claiming six Super Bowls, five All-Pro honors and three league MVP’s, the fans of the NFL might only remember him for his days in Foxborough.

That being said, a commentator on national television should know that the 43-year-old is now calling the shots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For Steve Levy, he really should since he was calling the game on Monday Night.

During Monday’s broadcast against the New York Giants, Levy mentioned how late in the fourth quarter, Brady could burn a few more seconds off the clock by running the ball. However, instead of talking about the 5-2 Bucs, he mentioned the Patriots. Give credit though to Levy as he immediately caught himself and corrected the issue.

Can you blame Levy?

For those who didn’t watch the game, this might seem like a colossal mistake. However, Levy and the crew did speak of New England minutes before since the 2-5 Patriots will travel to MetLife Stadium next Monday to take on the winless Jets.

There also was a promo speaking of how during his time in Gillette Stadium, Brady was in a heated battle with New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees for the all-time touchdown record that used to be held by future Hall of Fame star Peyton Manning.

Brady, who signed a two-year $50 million deal to join Bruce Arians squad this offseason, has resurged with a new line of weapons in the NFC South. Although known as the face of the league while donning the red, white and blue, Pewter red might have him playing a little longer than fans expected. Entering Monday, Brady had thrown for 1,910 yards, 18 touchdowns, four interceptions and has a quarterback rating of 102.7.
