Ryan Fitzpatrick dons some short shorts in honor of former teammate

Ryan Fitzpatrick had an interesting outfit at practice to honor a former teammate.

The Miami Dolphins got off to a hot start thanks to the great play of Ryan Fitzpatrick. He was then benched in favor of Tua Tagovailoa, but took the move in stride and the team even pulled out a victory in the rookie’s debut.

Fitzpatrick has always been a great professional and understood why the move was made. A recent clip from Dolphins practice showed him keeping up the good vibes with an interesting set of shorts.

Fitzpatrick the fashion icon

That is quite the look from the 37-year-old. As stated in the tweet, the shorts were in honor of Isaiah Ford. The receiver was traded to the New England Patriots in a rare deal between two teams in the same division.

Fitzpatrick openly admitted to being upset when he was benched after such a great start. However, he took the move as a professional and appears to be in decent spirits. It takes a comfortable guy to rock this look and his teammates surely got a laugh out of it.

Next: Ryan Fitzpatrick’s reaction to getting benched

The man known as “FitzMagic” will turn 38 years old in a few weeks and this could end up being his final year in the NFL. But who knows? If he feels good enough to rock the short shorts he may feel good enough to earn a few more million dollars and land on a team in 2021, whether that is in Miami or somewhere else.
