Frustration is mounting within the coaching staff of the New York Giants.
It’s been a rough season thus far for the New York Giants but a shocking allegation has surfaced relating to the termination of offensive line coach Marc Colombo.
According to Jason McIntyre, Colombo and Giants head coach Joe Judge allegedly got into a fistfight in which the former offensive lineman decidedly had the upper-hand over his boss and was fired by Judge on the spot.
This type of dysfunction would not be as shocking if it happened with the winless New York Jets, but the accusation from McIntyre was met with a lot of disbelief.
And according to multiple reports, it didn’t happen.
It was all make believe. There was no fistfight. It was all a figment of McIntyre’s imagination who got a lot of social media engagement and attention for creating this drama that several have refuted, including the New York Giants.
Giants deny fistfight took place between Colombo and Judge
The Giants were planning on bringing on Dave DeGuglielmo to work alongside Colombo, according to Mike Garagolo, but Colombo’s reaction — not a physical altercation — led to his dismissal.
So, clearly, Colombo was displeased with the Giants bringing in someone else to help do his job. Colombo thinking he didn’t need any extra help and was more than capable of doing the duties of the job by himself was enough for him to react in a way that led to his termination.
