Kyler Murray’s shoulder just doesn’t seem right

There’s something up with Kyler Murray entering halftime

As one of the rising stars of 2020, Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray continues to make plays as the next great dual-threat quarterback. However, it’s clear that something certainly isn’t right with the young gun as the team heads to halftime against the Seattle Seahawks.

During the first quarter, Murray was sacked by Seahawks defensive end LJ Collier. After the drive concluded, there were glimpses of him throwing on the sideline and wincing while letting go of the ball. Several drives later, the Cardinals staff was placing heat pads on his arm to alleviate the pressure of the hit and keep his arm from freezing up.

The hit has affected Murray’s overall game as now he’s play conservative ball instead of using his strength to bully defenders. In two quarters of play, 9-of-14 for 89 yards passing, averaging 6.4 yards per throw.

Should this be a concern for the Cardinals?

Murray’s dual-threat mentality has been the x-factor in Arizona starting the season off 6-3. And while the team isn’t out of the race on Thursday night, any more massive hits could put Murray in jeopardy.

For now, Arizona can trust the run game with Kenyan Drake, who scored a touchdown before halftime.
