Tom Brady’s first interception of Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams was bad. His second was even worse.
There has been a consistent theme with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season, and it’s that they severely underperform in primetime games. That definitely stuck for their Monday night game against the Los Angeles Rams, and the catalyst for their loss was none other than six-time Super Bowl champion quarterback, Tom Brady.
Tampa Bay received the ball with a little over two minutes remaining down 27-24 to the Rams. Usually, this is where Brady shines the brightest, especially when looking back at his New England Patriots days. Instead, Brady’s 43-year-old arm strength showed, as a deep pass intended for tight end Cameron Brate. Instead, the ball floated like a punt directly into the hands of Rams rookie safety Jordan Fuller for the second-time this game to end it.
Twitter, as usual, wasn’t afraid to let Brady know how they really felt about him after that awful throw.
Brady’s arm strength strikes again, and not in the good way.
As mentioned earlier, this was the second time Brady threw a pick to Fuller. The same thing happened in the third quarter, as the veteran quarterback tried targeting receiver Chris Godwin deep downfield. Instead, he under-threw him, and Fuller was waiting for the gift. You might as well should be calling Brady Santa Clause, because he was giving the Rams presents all game.
Brady finished the night by completing 26-of-48 pass attempts for 216 yards, two touchdowns and the aforementioned two turnovers.
This was not the Brady that the Buccaneers envisioned would step onto the field of Raymond James Stadium in their many primetime games. Yet, this has been a theme all season. Luckily for Brady and the Bucs, they get to play in a mid-afternoon game! The bad news is that they have to play Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. If Brady continues to make bad passes like these, then you can tally another loss to their season record.
