Apparently Dez Bryant isn’t done for the season after all

Dez Bryant may not be done playing for the 2020 Baltimore Ravens after all.

It was an evening to say the very least for Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Dez Bryant.

After being out of the league for two years, the former Dallas Cowboys standout wide receiver was slated to play his former team in a revenge game on Tuesday night. Shortly before kickoff, he was ruled out due to a positive COVID test. He had to watch the game away from M&T Bank Stadium, clearly going throw all the emotions on Twitter with the help of some wine.

Bryant initially called it quits after his positive COVID test. However, after watching the Ravens get back into the win column by defeating an awful Cowboys team, Bryant changed his tone. He later tweeted out that he is not done just yet and will look forward to playing the rest of the way with the Ravens. It was an emotional evening for him, so can you really blame him for this?

Baltimore is still technically alive to win an Super Bowl championship

While the 2020 Ravens are a far cry from the 2019 team that went 14-2 and earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC, Baltimore is still in the mix to be one of seven teams who can make the playoff filed in its conference. They will not be anything more than a Wild Card team this season, but we have seen anything and everything happen in January on the NFL gridiron before.

Even though Bryant is nowhere near the player he was for Dallas and the Oklahoma State Cowboys before that, he can play a big role on a Ravens team most people are not expecting a lot out of in the playoffs. Helping Lamar Jackson get his first postseason win would be a huge stepping stone. Maybe Bryant can make a big play to get them to the divisional round?

With a good night’s sleep, perhaps Bryant can get ready for the stretch run ahead in Baltimore?
