Taylor Swift name-dropped the Eagles in her new album to give the team a win off the field.
Taylor Swift dropped her new album evermore Friday and that meant the nation came to a standstill to listen and dissect every single song.
The one song that has some potential NFL ties is gold rush. Here is the lyric in focus: “I see me padding across your wooden floors, with my Eagles t-shirt hanging from your door.”
Genius lyrics believes this could have ties to the band. However, the fun conspiracy theories arise when it is about the football team. As for the team, being mentioned is easily their biggest win of 2020.
Eagles connection in evermore
Let’s start with the conspiracy. Fans are already thinking it could be about Harry Styles. Why is that? This tweet has shown up among the theories.

Now let’s talk about the football team. This year they aren’t even worthy of being mentioned on what will be one of the top albums of the year in terms of popularity.
The Eagles are 3-8-1 and are staring down the real possibility of taking on tens of millions of dollars in dead money in 2021 just to get rid of Carson Wentz. That is before even getting into all the cuts that must be made just to get under the salary cap.
Eagles fans have not had much to cheer for in 2020 so hopefully there is some crossover and many are Swift fans. At least she surprisingly dropped two albums in the latter half of the year. One more and an EP and she matches the Eagles’ win total.
