Travis Kelce hit Patrick Mahomes with quite the hilarious troll as the two continue to have fun with their back-and-forth banter ahead of the Super Bowl.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have always had a great rapport and it’s easy to see why. The Kansas City Chiefs duo has been nearly unstoppable since Mahomes become the full-time starter in 2018, and Kelce owes a lot of his success to the young phenom.
Being so successful has allowed them to joke around and not take any heat for having fun. The two have a bit of a trolling/prank war going, and Kelce landed quite the blow while speaking to the media during this unique Super Bowl week.
Kelce pokes fun at Mahomes
For those unaware, Mahomes sounds almost too much like a certain Kermit the Frog when he speaks. Thus, the perfect spirit animal for him is a frog. Kelce isn’t wrong here, even though he is joking around.
This just continues a great battle between the two to get subtle shots in whenever the cameras are watching.
The Chiefs are a rare team that has had a ton of success without ever assuming any sort of villain role. Perhaps that is because NFL fans were so ready for a new team to emerge in the AFC after so many years of the New England Patriots holding that crown. How many times did you see Tom Brady joking around during press conferences in New England? Is that even allowed?
Of course, the Chiefs are looking to stop Brady once again later this week in the Super Bowl. While Kelce and Mahomes are joking around now, you can expect both to be locked in as they seek a repeat to launch a true dynasty in Kansas City.
