With the 2021 NFL Draft order now set, here is how the Indianapolis Colts might attack the seven round selection process.

The Indianapolis Colts biggest move of the offseason will be the trade for quarterback Carson Wentz. In theory, a reunion with Frank Reich will get him on the right track and give the Colts their quarterback for years to come.

Despite having ample cap space, as has seemed to be their annual rite, the Colts sat out the first wave (or two) of free agency. They’ve lost defensive lineman Denico Autry and backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett, while notably re-signing running back Marlon Mack. Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton might be back too.

The Colts are in a position to win now, with some specific areas to target. Here’s how they might use the six selections they currently have in April’s draft.

Indianapolis Colts Full 7-Round Mock Draft

First Round

21

Rashod Bateman

WR Minnesota

Bateman is among the best wide receivers in another loaded class at the position this year. He put himself on the NFL radar in 2019, with 60 receptions for 1,219 yards and 11 touchdowns as he averaged a Big-Ten high 20.3 yards per catch.

Last season was a back-and-forth of opting out, opting and opting out again, and he only played five games for the Gophers (36 catches for 472 yards and two touchdowns).

The Colts need to add some weapons offensively. The best wide receiver left on the board can’t be turned away from.
