Alabama football: Najee Harris proves he is a great teammate once again

Former Alabama football star Najee Harris shows us how selfless of a teammate he is ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft. This is why so many teams are keen on drafting him very high this spring.

Alabama football standout Najee Harris continues to go above and beyond what it means to be an outstanding teammate.

Harris planned to be in Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s Pro Day. Even though he is not participating in it, he was more than willing to make the drive from Dallas after his flight to Birmingham was canceled on Monday night due to lightning. Harris wanted to be in Tuscaloosa to show his support for his teammates. This will not go unnoticed by the top NFL executives in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday.

Najee Harris is pushing for first-round draft status out of Alabama football

Harris returned to Alabama for his senior season. While he could have been a day-two or day-three pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, his return to Tuscaloosa did wonders for he and his teammates. Harris took home the Doak Walker, while Alabama went undefeated en route to another College Football Playoff National Championship. Alabama does not win it all without Harris in its backfield.

Ultimately, Harris is probably a day-two selection. While he could crack the first round, keep in mind that only one running back went top-32 last spring. Regardless, Harris is battling it out with Clemson football star Travis Etienne for the first running back off the board in 2021. If it does become a push, one could argue that Harris’ character could give him the decisive edge here.

Whoever ends up drafting Harris will have landed themselves a potential franchise cornerstone.
