Concerning updated details emerge in Richard Sherman’s domestic violence case

More Richard Sherman arrest details continue to surface after the veteran cornerback was booked on domestic violence charges early Wednesday morning.

While standout cornerback Richard Sherman is still trying to find a new home for the 2021 season, he’s now got some legal troubles to deal with.

The early reports are extremely concerning.

According to an updated report from ESPN, Sherman was arrested on domestic violence charges. In that report, Sherman tried forcing his way into the home of a family member in Washington. When police showed up, the defensive back tried fighting them.

It goes without saying, but this isn’t a good look at all for Sherman. He’s made such a tremendous impact on the different communities he’s been associated with, which makes this trouble with the law even more surprising.

In ESPN’s report, the local police said they received a call at around 2 a.m. Pacific Time from someone stating someone was trying to force their way inside a home. That person of course turned out to be Sherman. Sherman, 33, was outside the house when the cops showed up. Shortly after, he tried fighting them. Sherman was eventually booked into the King County Correctional Facility.

Throughout the summer, Sherman has been linked with potential moves to Dallas, Seattle and others. Now, however, teams are surely going to want to wait and see how Sherman’s legal issues are handled before bringing him in for a visit or even putting an offer on the table.

The former Super Bowl champion has accomplished so much on the field. For the first time in his  career, he’s now making headlines for trouble off of it. Stay tuned to see what happens with Sherman next.
