Eagles troll Carson Wentz one last time with Nick Foles banner

The Philadelphia Eagles went ahead and trolled Carson Wentz by taking down his banner at Lincoln Financial Field and replacing it with a Nick Foles Super Bowl photo.

With Carson Wentz no longer with the Philadelphia Eagles and now suiting up for the Indianapolis Colts, folks in the City of Brotherly Love are ready to forget all about the former first-round pick. Leave it to the Eagles, however, to get one final parting shot in on him.

On Tuesday, the Eagles removed the banner of Wentz that was up outside of Lincoln Financial Field. What did they replace it with? Nick Foles holding the Super Bowl trophy after leading the team past Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Goodness.

A banner of Nick Foles replacing Carson Wentz in Philly is quite the troll job from the Eagles

The Eagles simply had to know what they were doing here. Did they expect that this could go down and no one would realize what the organization was doing? There’s no denying Wentz’s time with the team was nothing short of a letdown.

When the Eagles used a first-round pick on him, they thought he’d end up winning the Super Bowl for them. Instead, once Wentz was injured, Foles stepped in and became a living legend throughout the city. He was simply fantastic in the Super Bowl. Now, the ‘Philly Special’ when Foles caught a touchdown is something that people will never forget.

For Wentz, he couldn’t be happier to be with the Colts and he even took a parting shot of his own against the Eagles earlier this offseason. Now, it looks like Philadelphia was able to get the last laugh. Folks are surely going to be talking about this for a while.
