Watch: Jaylen Waddle is making DB’s look stupid at Dolphins practice

Miami Dolphins fans should be excited about their new star wide receiver in rookie Jaylen Waddle.

The Dolphins used the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft on the Alabama football standout. Though he did not play very much in the second half of the Crimson Tide’s 2020 national championship campaign due to a knee injury, Waddle had no issues putting this poor Atlanta Falcons defensive back on a poster during a joint practice between the two teams on Wednesday.

Miami will host Atlanta for its second preseason game on Saturday night at Hard Rock Stadium.

This is a very important year for Miami. The Dolphins may have gone 10-6 a season ago, but they were on the outside looking in at the seventh and final playoff spot in a deep AFC. While it was controversial to bench Ryan Fitzpatrick for then-rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Fitzpatrick is now with the Washington Football Team, so it undoubtedly will be Tua Time down in South Beach.

Interestingly enough, Waddle played his college ball alongside Tagovailoa at Alabama. Given that Miami’s passing offense was rather bland a season ago, one would hope Waddle’s inherent explosiveness will do wonders in helping Tagovailoa and the rest of the Dolphins aerial attack take flight. If not, we may be in for a world of issues when it comes to the Dolphins’ overall viability.

Waddle will be key in the Dolphins getting back into the playoffs under a newish coaching staff.
