Russell Wilson strongly hints at Week 10 return in photo

Russell Wilson has said he’s eyeing a return to the field for the Seahawks in Week 10 since he injured his finger and he’s already hinting at that reality.

Things could’ve gone worse in the three games for the Seattle Seahawks since quarterback Russell Wilson suffered a finger injury that required surgery and landed him on IR.

With Geno Smith stepping in as the backup, the team has gone just 1-2 but has been competitive in every game, which is a positive sign for when the all-world quarterback gets back under center. When might that be, though, as Wilson is now eligible to be activated off of IR and as the Seahawks enter their Week 9 bye?

As it turns out, the targeted Week 10 return date for a matchup with the Green Bay Packers appears right on schedule as Wilson posted an update on his recovery with strong hints about what his near future holds.

Russell Wilson return in Week 10 for the Seahawks looking more likely

The fact that Russell Wilson has the pin out of his finger the day after Seattle took the field in Week 8 is a strong indication that, over the next two weeks, he’ll be able to get himself ready to return for Week 10 against the Packers.

Of course, that’s not a certainty yet. There are often setbacks with injuries, even if they are with someone like Wilson, who appears deadset on a speedy return to action.

With that said, the way the Seahawks quarterback has operated throughout his recovery has been a picture of a player driven to beat projected recovery timelines and get on the field as soon as possible. And his update on his injury only further indicates that the safe bet would be that fans see him suiting up again after Seattle’s bye.
