Packers get great David Bakhtiari news ahead of Seahawks game

The wait appears to be over for the return of David Bakhtiari, as the offensive lineman was practicing on Wednesday and he’ll be activated off the PUP list.

While Green Bay Packers fans may have been down in the dumps following the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, things sure are looking up now. Not only is Aaron Rodgers expecting to play on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, but a good friend of his could be making plays in the trenches. David Bakhtiari.

The All-Pro left tackle was once again practicing on Wednesday and according to reporter Matt Schneidman, Bakhtiari will be activated off the PUP list as well.

David Bakhtiari PUP return comes at the right time for the Packers

This is of course massive news for the Packers and Rodgers. Unfortunately for Bakhtiari, he’s yet to see the field this season after suffering his torn ACL last December. Right before the regular-season finale against the Chicago Bears, Bakhtiari tore his ACL during practice. It was a brutal blow for Green Bay, which went on to lose to the Bucs in the NFC Championship Game.

Now, Bakhtiari is back to full health and ready to protect Rodgers’ blindside like normal. However, it’s important to note that head coach Matt LaFleur said it’s not a guarantee Bakhtiari will end up taking on the Seahawks on Sunday. We should know his Week 10 status in the coming days.

Regardless of that, the fact that Bakhtiari is making plays in practice and getting closer and closer to his return is exciting for Green Bay supporters. He’s a fan favorite and arguably the top left tackle in the game. Green Bay’s offense is about to get even better with Bakhtiari back in action with the rest of the offensive line.
