Amazingly, Brian Flores’ team has come back in a big way. And now the Miami Dolphins control their path to possible postseason berth.

The Miami Dolphins have overcome amazing odds after a 1-7 start. The team is now one game above .500 and in control of their playoff fate. But an appearance in Nashville to face the AFC South leaders is a tall order.

The Titans have had a few extra days to prepare for this game considering the team last played over a week ago. Mike Vrabel’s club rallied for a 20-17 Thursday night win over the visiting 49ers. Meanwhile, the Dolphins came away with a 20-3 victory at New Orleans on Monday night – making for a shorter week.

And this will be a motivated Tennessee team that can clinch a second straight division title with a victory.

5. QB Tua Tagovailoa sacked 5 times

It’s a Tennessee team that addressed a woeful pass rush this offseason. A year ago, the Titans managed to sack opposing signal-callers just 19 times in 16 regular-season outings. That number has swelled to 37 sacks in 15 outings this year.

Unsung Harold Landry leads the club with 11 sacks. He’s followed by 2021 free-agent addition Denico Autry (8), former first-round pick Jeffery Simmons (7.5) and former Steelers’ edge-rusher Bud Dupree (3). The latter has played in only nine games but has sack in each of the team’s last two games.

The Dolphins have given up 16 sacks during their seven-game winning streak. But three came on Monday night at the Superdome.
