Seahawks fans get huge update on Russell Wilson’s future

While trade rumors have been flying, it doesn’t look like the Seattle Seahawks have any plans of trading star quarterback Russell Wilson.

Things were beyond emotional for Seattle Seahawks fans last week following the win over the Detroit Lions. In the last home game of the year, Russell Wilson walked off the field and received quite the ovation from the folks in the stands. Was it his last showdown at Lumen Field in a Seattle uniform?

As folks are fully aware of, trade rumors continue to circulate surrounding Wilson’s future in the Pacific Northwest. Having said that, NFL insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that Seattle has no plans to trade the stud signal-caller this offseason.

The Seahawks aren’t planning to entertain trade offers for Russell Wilson

Last offseason, the feeling was that Wilson was going to end up getting traded. Instead, he suited up for Seattle and the team had hopes of making it back to the Super Bowl. Instead, this team won’t even suit up in the playoffs. It’s obviously been a major disappointment for Seattle.

Now heading into the offseason, some big-time changes are expected for the NFC West team. With it looking like Wilson will be staying put in the 206, can the same be said for head coach Pete Carroll?

His future is also up in the air. We could see the two return in 2022, but countless fans in Seattle are hoping that something indeed changes for the team. It was made more than clear that the squad was off balance this year. The Seahawks enter Sunday’s Week 18 tilt with the Cardinals holding a 6-10 record, which no one saw coming.

It’ll be a busy winter and spring for Seattle, but for now, it’s looking like Wilson will be ready to lead this offense out onto the field once Week 1 of next season arrives.
