Broncos appear to troll Seahawks, Pete Carroll with new Russell Wilson tweet

The Denver Broncos are ready for the Russell Wilson era to start and it looks like they have no issues taking shots at the Seattle Seahawks as well.

Everyone in Seattle doesn’t like the Denver Broncos right now, as the AFC West team pulled off the blockbuster trade with the Seahawks to land Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson. For plenty of people, they can’t believe the Wilson days at Lumen Field are over.

For the Broncos, they couldn’t be more excited about the future with Wilson running the offense. They’re ready to let Wilson ‘cook’ but the timing of a recent tweet sure has raised plenty of eyebrows.

Denver trolling Pete Carroll most definitely didn’t go unnoticed

This is a subtle jab at the Seahawks. Earlier in the week, Pete Carroll said the Seahawks are going to focus on running the football on offense, while also looking at the defense and special teams to win games. That update didn’t excite fans, as they loved watching Wilson throw the ball all over the field.

That will no longer be the case for the Seahawks, but the Broncos are going to let Wilson do his thing. It’s what the Seattle faithful were calling for, but Carroll simply has a different mentality. The Broncos had to know what they were doing with that tweet above too.

While Wilson said the split between him and the Seahawks was mutual, Carroll and general manager John Schneider made it clear it was the quarterback who was pushing for a fresh start elsewhere. It’d make sense with Wilson wanting to showcase his cannon for an arm. Now, the Broncos are in the Super Bowl conversation and the Seahawks look like they could be ready for another long campaign.
