Dolphins trying to land late free agency steal to help defensive line

It looks like the Miami Dolphins aren’t done making moves this offseason in what’s already been a memorable few months.

There’s plenty of hype surrounding the Miami Dolphins right now and fans are loving it. Not only did the team bring in Mike McDaniel as new head coach, but countless headlines were made when the team traded for speedster Tyreek Hill.

The front office is still working around the clock and they could be ready to potentially sign a stud pass-rusher: Melvin Ingram. Per Ian Rapoport, Ingram is visiting with Miami on Wednesday.

Melvin Ingram to the Dolphins will be something to watch

Ingram started the campaign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, signing with the team on a one-year deal following a long stint with the Chargers. Things didn’t go as planned for Ingram with Pittsburgh and he ended up being traded in the middle of the campaign to Kansas City.

Ingram turned plenty of heads when he arrived to the Chiefs and he impressed late in the season. On the year, Ingram posted two sacks and 25 total tackles while with Pittsburgh and Kansas City. Now, he’s looking for a new home and Miami could make plenty of sense for him.

Miami is really feeling itself right now and things sure are trending in the right direction for them. Adding a player of Hill’s caliber has the fanbase over the moon. He’ll be a major help to the development of Tua Tagovailoa, who still is the quarterback of the future for the team.

Adding Ingram wouldn’t reach the same kind of excitement that Hill did, but it wouldn’t be something to sneeze at either. The front office is ready to keep making a splash in the AFC East, no doubt.
