Robert Quinn could be on the move this summer if his time is indeed up with the Chicago Bears.
At 32-years-old, there is still plenty left in the tank for Chicago Bears pass-rusher Robert Quinn.
For over the last decade-plus, Quinn has been one of the most prolific edge rushers in the game. However, the former UNC star may be looking for a new team to play for this offseason. He is not showing up to the Bears’ mandatory minicamp this week. While Quinn is training on his own, he may not play a down for the new regime at Halas Hall. What teams could be interested in him?

Even though the Kansas City Chiefs have owned the AFC West for the better part of a decade, the rest of the division is chomping at the bit to overtake them. With six games in-division against elite quarterbacks in Derek Carr, Justin Herbert and now Russell Wilson, it serves the Chiefs to be as ferocious as possible with the pass rush. Their three division rivals are already proficient at this.
While there are no guarantees Kansas City wins the AFC West this fall, having a proven pass-rusher the caliber of Quinn who can play off Chris Jones’ greatness will do wonders for the Chiefs defense. Kansas City may take a step back in the back-end of the defense, so having a strong pass rush only serves them in a transitional year for them on that side of the ball. They will be just fine.
Ultimately, Poles’ previous working relationship with the Kansas City organization, and Brett Veach in particular, make the Chiefs a strong potential trade partner for Chicago if Quinn becomes available. They play in the opposite conference of the Bears, who will be one of the worst teams in the NFC next year. Any draft capital for a premier player who is not for long a team is a solid move.
Even if the Bears struggled last year, it serves Chicago to sell high on their multi-time Pro Bowler.
