Super Bowl MVP prop bet odds, prediction and pick (3 players to consider)

It’s the most prestigious honor you can receive, the Super Bowl MVP.

Not only did your team win the Super Bowl, but you were the reason why. Typically this award is dominated by quarterbacks, and that’s evident in the betting market, but are there some longshots that can have a big showing in the big game?

Here’s the odds for Super Bowl 57 MVP:

Super Bowl 57 MVP odds

Super Bowl 57 MVP best bets

  • Patrick Mahomes (+135)
  • DeVonta Smith (+3000)
  • Brandon Graham (+8000)

Patrick Mahomes

This is a bet on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. The team is about a +110 underdog and you can get anywhere from 20 to 30 cents more for taking Mahomes to win Super Bowl MVP. The difference between the Chiefs moneyline and Mahomes Super Bowl MVP is making this a valuable bet as I don’t see many scenarios where he doesn’t win in a KC victory.

First off, 31 of 56 Super Bowl MVP’s have gone to QB’s, it’s a quarterback driven award.

He’s the very likely MVP of the league and the Chiefs path to success is by outscoring Philadelphia. Even with someone like Travis Kelce in line for a big stat day, Mahomes ability to evade the Eagles pass rush and engineer scoring drives makes him a strong possibility to win the award if the Chiefs win.

I think the Chiefs moneyline and Mahomes should be nearly identical.

DeVonta Smith

While Mahomes is the overwhelming Chiefs player to win, I think there is some value taking a shot against Jalen Hurts of the Eagles in the Super Bowl MVP market. Why not go with his former Alabama teammate DeVonta Smith, who made the big early play in the NFC championship game on 4th and 6 on a deep pass from Hurts (which wasn’t actually a catch, but wasn’t challenged).

Smith has a knack for making big plays since college and in a game that I expect to feature points I can see the receiver being leaned on by Hurts, who hasn’t been challenged to pass since hurting his shoulder in December.

We have seen standout wide receiver performances win this honor as recently as last year with Cooper Kupp, so I think Smith at 30-1 is a nice longshot price.

Brandon Graham

Haason Reddick is the trendy bet to win Super Bowl MVP on the Eagles elite defense, down from +5500 to +3000, but I’ll go a bit further down the board with Graham, who is also a fantastic pass rusher.

Graham isn’t the jewel of the Eagles defense like Reddick, who forced a fumble in the Eagles NFC title game win and had 16 regular season sacks, but he did rack up 11 on the year.

If someone on the Eagles defense is going to win, I actually think it’s better to fade the trendy name in Reddick if the Chiefs try to scheme up even more protection against him. That can open up the door for Graham to have a big outing at +8000.
