Cam Jordan has been a prolific pass rusher for the Saints for over a decade, but here are four teams that might come calling for the seven-time Pro Bowler.
Even after a dozen seasons with the New Orleans Saints, Cam Jordan hasn’t shown any signs of a decrease in production. Jordan registered 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles for a Saints defense that allowed the third-fewest touchdowns in the NFL.
Jordan recently broke his social media fast to pine for the Saints to acquire Derek Carr. The Saints have some weapons in Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave but they don’t have anyone at QB to lead the offense. They finished in the bottom half of the league in touchdowns scored in 2022.
While the Saints could hang on to Jordan in 2023 in what looks to be a wide-open NFC South, they might choose to move on from the veteran and his $25 million+ cap hit for next season. They have the least amount of cap space in the league. Here are four teams that should pick up the phone and try to trade for Jordan.

4. Chicago Bears
The Bears traded away their best pass rushers in 2022. Khalil Mack was traded to the Chargers for a second-round and sixth-round pick back in March. They still had All-Pro Robert Quinn to lead the pass rush, but Quinn only accounted for one sack in the first seven games of the season. The Bears were not competing for a postseason slot so they dealt Quinn to the Eagles for a fourth-round pick.
It’s no wonder that the Bears ranked dead last in the NFL with just 20 sacks for the season. The Bears might not seem like a team that would be looking to acquire an aging pass rusher, but GM Ryan Poles has the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and the most salary cap room in the NFL — nearly $100 million available to spend.
The NFC North looks winnable for the 2023 season. The Vikings are overrated. Aaron Rodgers might leave the Packers. The Lions, while fun to watch in 2022, aren’t exactly a dominant force. It’s a bit of a long shot, but the Bears have what it takes to acquire Jordan from the Saints. Bears fans love their defense. Imagine a defensive line with Jordan and potential draft pick Will Anderson in front of that young, talented secondary.
