The No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft has been a hotly contested debate between early favorite Bryce Young and CJ Stroud, but it seems that we are at the final stages of the Carolina Panthers decision.
Young is now -900 at FanDuel Sportsbook to be the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, held by the Carolina Panthers, who traded up last month with the Chicago Bears. Since that trade, CJ Stroud was long seen as the likely pick, reaching as high as -400, but the market has swung back towards the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner.
Young opened as the favorite and has long been the No. 1 prospect on multiple public big boards, including Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com, and it seems that the Panthers have landed on that decision as well.
Young has met with both the Panthers and Texans, and cancelled all other workouts with teams 10 days out from the first round of the NFL Draft.
