Georgia football: Explaining Stetson Bennett IV’s beef with Senior Bowl director

Let’s try to understand why former Georgia football star Stetson Bennett IV is not a fan of Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy, especially after his comments disparaging one Baby Gronk.

Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy is not a fan of Baby Gronk, and Georgia football legend Stetson Bennett IV is not a fan of Nagy.

With Nagy attempting to throw water on the latest Marinovich project, citing that the NFL is all about genetics and not how early you groom you son to play ball, Bennett clapped back at yet another guy who didn’t believe in him. Bennett would have only been a late addition to last winter’s Senior Bowl, despite being the most important football player in Georgia football history.

Nagy did say there are exceptions, such as playing the position of quarterback, but Bennett took umbrage with the Senior Bowl director’s Baby Gronk erasure on Twitter.

Bennett’s intangibles transformed him into being a fourth-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams.

Despite all the evidence in front of him over the last two years, Nagy continually doubted Bennett.

Bennett may have gotten arrested in Dallas for public intoxication while training instead of being at the Senior Bowl, but even with that embarrassing arrest, he still was a high mid-round pick.

One would think had Bennett been treated with respect and been invited to the Senior Bowl earlier, he could have been a day-two draft pick for all we know. He went to the perfect spot for him though, as he will back up former Georgia star Matthew Stafford and learn from quarterback whisperer and Atlanta area native Sean McVay. Let’s just say that it worked out well for Bennett.

Georgia football legend Stetson Bennett IV claps back at Jim Nagy’s Baby Gronk take

The year is 2033. Baby Gronk is bulldozing SEC defenders as the LSU Tigers’ version of future Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Brock Bowers. Nagy has been replaced two or even three times over as the director of the Senior Bowl. Bennett has either just wrapped up his NFL career, or is barely hanging on by a thread as a Chase Daniel-level backup, pushing cars in Athens majestically.

Bennett appears at Sanford Stadium to have his No. 13 jersey retired and his name inscribed into the Ring of Honor. The recent college graduate also has the greatest statue outside of Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall you will ever see. Fate would have it, the Dawgs open as a seven-point favorite over the Baby Gronk Bayou Bengals. Georgia wins, but Baby Gronk goes all Billy Cannon.

Pre-diabetic me is housing more Reese’s peanut butter cups than I ever thought possible because my two little kids went to town trick or treating, and the beautiful woman who somehow loves me doesn’t like chocolate. With massive Jim Hopper dad vibes, I see The Mailman give Baby Gronk a hundred-dollar handshake on the ESPN stream. Reading his lips, Bennett says don’t go to Mobile.

At that point in time, I will have all the proof I would need to prove we are all living in a simulation.
